frequently asked questions

Can I practice at bodinh if I am new to yoga?

Everyone is welcome here!

Always check with your doctor before beginning a new fitness program.

When should I arrive for class?

The studio opens 15 minutes prior to scheduled classes. If you’re new to bodinh, we recommend that you come early to properly familiarize yourself with the studio and to briefly chat with your teacher about what limitations you’re working with so that they can provide modifications during class. We ask that returning bodinhis arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class.

If I am running 5 minutes late, can I still come to class?

For safety reasons, we unfortunately do not allow late entry.

Is the studio heated?

Only in the winter. We do not offer hot yoga.

Are there changing rooms and showers?

No. Since we are a small community studio, we recom mend that you come prepared for class.

We have an area to store your personal belongings. Some teachers may offer a chilled towel during savasana.

What do I need to bring?

We recommend you bring your own mat and props, but if you’re new to yoga and not sure if you want to commit to purchasing the accessories we’ve got you. We have all props available for your use and do not charge a rental fee. We also have mats and props for sale.

Please do not bring glass bottles.

What should I wear?

Wear what you’re comfortable in. Do not wear perfume.

I am expecting. Can I attend class?

Pregnant persons are always welcome if you’ve been cleared by your physician to attend yoga. Please let your teacher know that you’re expecting and how far along you are before class begins.

Can I bring my kids?

Children are allowed in the studio during mom/baby, mom/toddler and family classes only. Teens are welcome with an adult or with written consent of parents, but we recommend they try our afternoon teen class.

What is the difference between livestream and zoom?

Both are real time glimpse of the studio happenings. The primary difference is that on Zoom your teacher can see you (if you choose to put your camera on) and you’re able to see and interact with other students, as well as ask questions before or after class, whereas on livestream on our app you’re able to watch in real time, but your teacher is unable to see or interact with you.

Classes that are live-streamed are available for all bodinh app subscribers to watch free, as the content is included in the subscription. Unlimited studio memberships include an app subscription. Live-streamed classes can be accessed under the ‘studio live-stream’ section on the bodinh app. Some, but not all, live-streamed classes are added to the on demand library, so you may or may not be able to view it again later, whereas on Zoom you’re able to access the recording for 24 hours. Pre-registration is necessary for a Zoom class so that you receive the link, but you do not need to register for the app's livestream.

A Zoom class is charged at the same rate as in studio classes. Livestream classes can not be accessed on a one off basis with class card as they all require an app subscription.
